COMMUNITY ‘GIVE BACK’
‘Community is a group of people who choose to grow together’
The community is really important to 1125 CIC and over the year we run volunteering activities to help people in the local area and help to improve community spaces.
1. SHARE BOXES
At Christmas we make share boxes for the young people that are part of the 1125 CIC Community. Inside the boxes are handmade bath bombs, candles, jewellery, positive signs and grow your own ‘good luck’ seeds.
One of the young people said ‘Thank you for the gift, it was so nice to have a present made by the group’.

2. VOLUNTEERING
Respecting our community is important so we work with young people to help ‘give back’ by painting community buildings or help rejuvenate outdoor spaces. We have worked at Connahs Quay Cricket Club and helped with the outdoor yard…
The feedback was ‘Its brilliant, it looks amazing all the people at the club love what you have all done’.
We run litter picking activities where young people have the power to select a street. We gather a group, and after a short safety induction grab a litter picker and bag and spend a few hours cleaning the space.
3. EMERGENCY FOOD PARCELS
We promote local services in the area for example Food Bank, churches… but have provided emergency food parcels for young people and families when they have reached crisis point.

This is dependent on available resources.
4. FUNDRAISER EVENTS
We run fundraiser events in the community to try and raise money for 1125 CIC, the money raised goes back to the community to be able to run activities for young people who need it the most. If anyone wants to host a fundraiser event please get in contact with us.
DONATIONS
If anyone would like to donate any monies to 1125 CIC for community projects then please get in contact with us. Every donation, no matter how large or small supports young people from our community.
